A post-LAB showing as an effect of an intensive, week-long choreographic project led by Hygin Delimat based on a shared movement language and original movement structures discovered by the Participants. The performance explores themes of encounters and dialogues. In an era of digitalisation and globalisation, where people tend to drift apart, the LAB creative process and performance remind us of the value of direct contact, collaboration, and empathy.
Hygin Delimat – a choreographer, dance teacher, and producer, he has been actively involved in the Austrian dance scene for many years and more recently in the Netherlands. He is the founder and leader of the Body Architects group, the Craft Choreography programme, and the Mind Culture Podcast. He currently teaches contemporary dance and new circus at several universities in the Netherlands (Fontys, ArtEZ, Codarts), specialising in floorwork and partnering.

Lien Vandenborne “Are we still allowed to get bored?”
This piece explores physically and theatrically the question if it is still possible in an overstimulated context to get bored. With extreme physicality coming from an honest state of boredom, Lien asks herself if there is time to process stimuli and how the body handles that. It’s an invitation to take time to look at a body going through a process which we all daily go through. This can be interesting to later reflect on for an audience to how they perceive boredom and overstimulation within their bodies.
Lien Vandenborne is a 21 year old student at Fontys Academy of the Arts. She followed the direction of Contemporary and Club & Street Styles. In this direction she got trained in many different styles. Next to working on her own artistry and the styles she mainly puts focus on right now are: Floorwork, Partnering technique, Improvisation and Hip-hop. Lien started off with athletics on a high level and made a transition from this type of competition to competition dance. She trained with many teams and in different styles commercially. On the side she kept on being schooled classically in music with singing and with an instrument. In 2021 she was accepted into Fontys Academy of the Arts. There she has worked interdisciplinary (with musicians, circus and theater), for pieces of choreographers (Simon Bus, Alesya Dobysh, Ann Vanden Broek, Danielle Huyghe, Jelena Kostic , Frann Schollaert, Anne Suurendonk,…), taught classes (in Ballet, Contemporary, Mobility and Hip-Hop) and made own works (solo work’s, co-creations, group pieces, duo’s).
Anne Sandee “To Perform”
A solo performance exploring the impact of gendered learning and its influence on our individual identities. The piece delves into how being presented with only one option or a narrow set of expectations limits our growth and self-expression. It asks the critical question: how do we recognize these constraints, break the cycle, and choose our own path? Through movement, the solo seeks to challenge societal norms and invite audiences to reflect on the complexities of identity, freedom, and the journey toward embracing our unique individuality.
Inspiration: Judith Butler “Bodies That Matter: On the Discursive Limits of Sex (1993).”
Anne Sandee is a 21-year-old dancer and performer from The Netherlands. Her work centers around exploring storytelling through movement and play. She is deeply passionate about developing her own creative practices to convey emotions, narratives, and experiences.
Ana Paula Lemus Payiatsou “Fay”
Her artistic performance draws inspiration from childhood dreams, as she revisits those memories to explore feelings of nostalgia and reflect on the emotions connected to them. In a physical way she reveals the impact of those experiences.
Ana Paula Lemus Payiatsou is a 20-year-old performer from Cyprus and El Salvador, currently based in the Netherlands. Her work is focused on emotions and personal experiences, rooting on the creation of atmospheric spaces that push the limits of the body. By immersing the audience in these explorations, she aims to evoke a feeling of disorientation and the feeling of being lost.
Natalia Feret “Galanteria”
Mostly we include ribbons, lace, gloves, handbags to „galanteria” (haberdashery). What if our body becomes a mannequin that is used only for wearing a costume.
