If the dance floor is a fire, then what fuel does it need? Three performers work with an interactive sound design that only plays music when the dance floor is moving.
This is a playful performance where the audience are invited to witness and join the performers in fueling the fire with their bodies and dance moves. Developed with A/V artist Cameron Howard, using a webcam to link the live movement on the dance floor to the speed of the music. The performers jump, sway and shake the dance floor into a sweaty hot blaze. This project is an ongoing love letter to social dance, the communities and the power of dance to create space.
