Choreographic Laboratory of Silesian Dance Theatre The fact that almost every dancer involved into dancing has a need of individual artistic creation is the phenomenon of contemporary dance. Calling the trials of artistic expression “The Choreographic Laboratory” we were driven by the wish of establishing the friendly form of presentation of what Silesian Dance Theatre’s dancers dream. The Laboratory is informal part of the Theatre’s organizational structure allowing to make the accumulated layers of ideas, imaginations about the world and art conception free; makes possible the showing of particular thoughts on art’s role in modern world through questioning, supporting and fighting the interlocutors opinions or through the drawing out the innovative style. In operation it’s nothing more like the time offered to the dancers for their individual development, technical and administrative support as well as providing them with production and exploitation.
