Lublin Event will be a 60-minute dance performance made up of sections from repertory pieces by Merce Cunningham, ranging from those made in the 1960’s to those made in the early 21st Century. Primarily, the Event will draw on choreography from pieces which originally featured collaborations with Robert Rauschenberg, John Cage, and Jasper Johns. Music will be composed by long-time Cunningham alumnus John King in collaboration with local musicians. Lighting will be created by Bessie Award-winning lighting designer and former Merce Cunningham Dance Company director of production Davison Scandrett.  Five former MCDC members will perform the dance, which will be created and staged specifically for these performances in Lublin by long-term MCDC dancer Daniel Squire.
Music will be composed by John King
