Ryszard Kalinowski / Lublin Dance Theatre _ The last solo of K.

Perhaps my best years are gone. When there was a chance of happiness. But I wouldn’t want them back. Not with the fire in me now. No, I wouldn’t want them back.

Samuel Beckett, „Krapp’s Last Tape”

The performance is a constellation of some of the author’s and performer’s associations and reflections: about Samuel Beckett’s play and his hero of Krapp listening to the tapes on each anniversary of his birthday, about Tadeusz Łomnicki’s role from 1980s, and finally about author’s first solo in Hanna Strzemiecka’s performance from year 2000. After two decades of the piece “DC 5861494” Ryszard Kalinowski is getting back to well known scenes, pictures and memories. He is asking many questions, “listening to” the old performance through his own body, dialoguing with the screening and creating a perspective for the next meeting with himself in the future, after following 20 years.
